Our fair and transparent policy for cancellations and refunds

At RJ Computer Repair, we strive to provide excellent service. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines our procedures for cancellations and refunds in compliance with Indian consumer protection laws.

Our Commitment: We aim for 100% customer satisfaction. If you're not satisfied with our service, we'll work with you to find a solution.

1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 Appointment Cancellation

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment:

  • More than 24 hours before appointment: Free cancellation
  • Less than 24 hours before appointment: ₹200 cancellation fee
  • ₹500 fee applies

1.2 Service Cancellation After Drop-off

If you decide to cancel after leaving your device with us:

2. Refund Policy

2.1 Eligibility for Refund

Refunds may be issued under these circumstances:

  • We are unable to repair your device
  • Service does not resolve the reported issue
  • You cancel before diagnosis begins
  • We fail to meet promised service standards
  • Parts ordered are incorrect or defective

Non-Refundable Items: Diagnostic fee (if service cancelled after diagnosis), software licenses (once activated), consumables used, and custom ordered parts cannot be refunded.

2.2 Refund Process

Refund request procedure:

  1. Submit written request via email within 7 days of service completion
  2. Include service invoice number and reason for refund
  3. Allow 3-5 business days for review
  4. If approved, refund processed within 7-10 business days

2.3 Refund Methods

Refunds will be issued via the original payment method:

  • Cash payment: Cash refund at our service center
  • UPI payment: Refund to same UPI ID
  • Card payment: Refund to original card (7-14 business days)
  • Bank transfer: NEFT to your bank account

3. Warranty-Related Refunds

3.1 Warranty Claims

If a repaired issue reoccurs within warranty period:

  • Free re-repair under warranty
  • If unable to re-repair, refund of repair charges
  • Parts replaced under warranty if defective

3.2 Warranty Exclusions

No refund under warranty for:

  • New issues unrelated to original repair
  • Damage caused by customer misuse
  • Devices serviced by unauthorized technicians
  • Physical damage after repair

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Unrepairable Devices

If we determine your device is beyond economical repair:

  • No repair charges (except diagnostic fee if applicable)
  • Option to retrieve device with original issue
  • Recommendation for replacement if appropriate

4.2 Incorrect Diagnosis

If initial diagnosis proves incorrect:

  • Revised estimate provided
  • Option to proceed with new estimate or cancel
  • Diagnostic fee waived if you proceed with repair
  • Full refund if you cancel (including diagnostic fee)

4.3 Delayed Service

If we exceed promised completion time:

  • Daily updates provided
  • 10% discount for delays beyond 3 business days
  • Option to cancel with full refund if delay exceeds 7 days

5. Parts and Components

5.1 Parts Refund Policy

Refund conditions for parts:

Custom ordered parts No refund -

5.2 Software and Licenses

Software products are non-refundable once:

  • License key is provided
  • Software is installed
  • Activation is completed

6. Consumer Rights (India)

In accordance with Consumer Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about service details and pricing
  • Choose from various service options
  • Seek redressal for unfair practices
  • Consumer education about rights

Grievance Redressal: For unresolved complaints, you may approach the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in New Delhi.

8. Processing Time

  • Refund approval: 3-5 business days
  • Refund processing: 7-10 business days after approval
  • Bank transfers: 3-5 business days to reflect in account
  • Card refunds: 7-14 business days (depends on bank)

Important: Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of service completion. Late requests may not be entertained.
